It took us a while to get the hang of using this (especially since we have small hands). A bit hard to squeeze with small hands. Also, it is much easier to pull the top of the can off if you pull it with this tool. We originally used the tool to cut the top and then used our hands fingers to pull the lid off. Once we figured it out, it was well worth the purchase. We have cut over 50 cans and it is still cutting just as good as when we cut the first can.
