It’s always hard to say goodbye to summer, short dresses and cocktails, but many exciting things await in the fall. These are the makeup trends you should try this season.
Fall is all about warm colors and gloomy weather and it is the perfect season to try a bold dark lip. Choose dark red, purple or bordeaux matte lipstick and rock it with your fall-winter wardrobe. When using a bold lip, opt for a more neutral look for the rest of the face.
Blush has been a staple product throughout summer, but as Chanel showed us this NYFW it is here to stay. You can apply the blush as the eyeshadow as well, and this will help create a monochromatic look, which will make you look innocent.
Pop of color
With the rise of Euphoria makeup, more people are playing with their makeup and using it less seriously and more as a tool for expression. This is a perfect season to bring out your creative side and use more color and defy cold weather. Try bright colored liquid eyeliners to achieve this look.
Glitter and Sparkle
We have seen many makeup artists use glitter for fall 2019. Messily applied glitter around the eyes, or glitter on the eyes matching the lips at Rodarte can really make your eyes pop and your natural beauty comes through. To take a spin on this trend apply a small amount of champagne-colored shimmery shadow below your eyes, just in the center below your pupil.
Cold weather makes our lips dry and patchy, there is no reason to make them even more dehydrated with overly matte lipsticks. Glossy lips were all over catwalks. Make your lips juicy this season with colored lip balms or clear glosses.
You can’t go wrong with an eye-shaping classic winged liner. We have seen all kinds of eyeliner application this year at fashion shows, so be open to experimenting. Don’t be afraid to try bolder eyeliner wings or messier looks.
We are shifting away from the Instagram makeup towards a natural makeup, and this applies to brows as well. To achieve this look, fill in your brows softly with the color matching your brows. Avoid any harsh lines or bold points on the brows. Using a spoolie can help your brows stay in place while looking neutral.
